This Time When You Look Into The Mirror

Nattering Negatives

This time when you look into the mirror, things won’t be the same.

You won’t see the broken pieces of your soul,

Or your vanquished heart,

Because this time you know that even though a mosaic,

You’re still a piece of art.

You won’t see a part of yourself,

Splintered, snapped, shattered,

Because you my dear, you, it was you who always mattered.

I wish you’d realized this earlier, but I’m glad you know this now;

But had it been little sooner, you would’ve saved yourself of this damage somehow.

But then, you are the grand edifice, so what if vandalized;

Even a glimpse of you, leaves them mesmerized.

Forget about the masses, crowds are heinous!

There are few in this world, who can identify genius.

Aim for the throne, and your tales shall be told,

For these people despise literature,

For them only what glisters is gold.

Now that you know that life is nothing but a game,

This time when you look into the mirror, things won’t be the same.
